Osteopathic Manual Practice is a manual form of treatment which deals with the whole body and all of its systems. By using visual assessment, mobilization of the joints, and soft tissue palpation and manipulation, the patient can be relieved of chronic and acute issues in this body's structure. It is suitable for the injured and the long-afflicted, the athlete and the elderly. Through the treatment process, the practitioner is able to tease out what the underlying causative issues are and treat them accordingly to create collective change through the whole body. This can include positive changes affecting the health and functioning of the organs, the spine and its relations, fluid movement, and more.

Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system, which has been shown to improve the functioning of the central nervous system, as well as many other systems of the body, such as digestive, musculoskeletal, respiratory, circulatory, and more. CST has also been shown to help with the physical components related to such somatic conditions as Post Traumatic Stress, depression and anxiety.

Anand is a wellness afficionado. His areas of interest and expertise include Osteopathy, Yoga, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Breathwork, Meditation and Floatation Therapy. He is also passionate about healthy eating and healthy living in general. He holds a Master’s in Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy. In terms of yoga, he has been trained in Modo, Hatha, Vinyasa, Flow, Yin and Breathwork. He has had a decade long career in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, now ranked as a Brown Belt and having competed in over 50 tournaments locally and internationally. He has been utilizing and facilitating floatation therapy for 10 years, having himself experienced over 1500 sessions in the sensory deprivation tank. He has a deep appreciation for hiking and other exploits in nature.
